Tulsa police shoot armed man at radio station

TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa police have shot a gunman who walked into a radio station and demanded to speak to a personality.
Officer Jason Willingham says the man, identified as Barry Styles, walked into the building housing Renda Broadcasting radio stations KBEZ and KHTT about 1 p.m. Wednesday.
Willingham says witnesses told police the man appeared to be angry and asked to speak to a radio personality. The secretary went to another room and called police.
He says officers encountered Styles as he was walking through the halls and allegedly brandished the gun. An officer shot three times, hitting Styles once in the hip.
Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman Tina Wells says a man was taken by ambulance from the scene of the shooting to St. Francis Hospital in serious condition.
