OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Thousands of homes and businesses remain
without power in southwestern Oklahoma following a winter storm
that brought ice, sleet and snow to Oklahoma last week.
Some may be without electricity until next week.
Public Service Company of Oklahoma reports about 26,000 outages in the region as of Tuesday morning and says some may not be back online until late Friday afternoon. Much of the city of Altus also remains without power.
Caddo Electric says it may be the middle of next week before all its customers have power restored because the cooperative has about
1,700 power poles down.
Oklahoma Gas and Electric reports 1,164 outages from Oklahoma City through south-central Oklahoma.
