TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A Tulsa County judge has given a man
consecutive life imprisonment terms for the 2008 fatal shootings of
his mother and her niece.
District Judge Tom Gillert sentenced Brandon Johnson on Monday.
Johnson pleaded guilty Feb. 9 to two counts of first-degree
murder for the Sept. 14, 2008, killings of Tracy Johnson, and her
niece, Jessica Lewallen.
Court records show police found the women at Tracy Johnson's
home after Brandon Johnson called 911.
Investigators say he initially told them he was at his residence
next door when he heard gunshots, ran to his mother's house with
his pistol and found her dead. Officers say he later told them he
shot both women after his mother shot at him.
His attorney, Julie Ball, couldn't be reached for comment
