Fairview police chief under investigation by CLEET

FAIRVIEW, Okla. (AP) - Officials with the Oklahoma Council on
Law Enforcement Education and Training are investigating the
conduct of the Fairview police chief during a class he taught.
Police Chief Robert Banks was an adjunct instructor with CLEET -
not part of the CLEET staff.
CLEET assistant director of operations Steve Emmons says the
investigation is in its preliminary stages. He declined to provide
details - but says it concerns the way he was treating a person in
the classroom.
Banks says he doesn't know anything about an investigation.
The investigation comes less than two months after Banks reached
a $40,000 settlement in a federal sexual harassment lawsuit filed
by a former Fairview police dispatcher.
