Small earthquake recorded in SE Oklahoma
TUPELO, Okla. (AP) - A magnitude 3.0 earthquake has been
recorded near the town of Tupelo in Coal County in southeastern
No injuries or damage were reported.
The U.S. Geological Survey recorded the quake about 7:50 p.m.
Tuesday six miles north of Tupelo. The area is about 15 miles
southeast of Ada and 80 miles southeast of Oklahoma City.
Researchers say quakes of 2.5 to 3.0 magnitude quakes are
typically the smallest felt by humans.
