Baby's skull fractured, expert tells Norman jury

NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - A forensic pathologist with the state medical examiner's office says a 6-month-old Norman girl suffered a skull fracture before she died.
Mackenzie Trask died April 6, 2006. Mackenzie's mother, 25-year-old Heather Trask, is on trial on a charge of first-degree murder. Prosecutors accuse Trask of allowing her husband, Jonathan Trask, to abuse their infant daughter. Jonathan Trask was convicted of first-degree murder in December 2008. He was sentenced to life in prison.
Jurors listened and took notes on testimony Friday from Dr. Chai Choi of the medical examiner's office. Choi said Mackenzie's brain was swollen when she died.
