Mother arrested for infant son's death
OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police say a 28-year-old woman arrested on first-degree murder and child abuse complaints in the death of her 1-year-old son admitted shoving on the child's stomach.
Police arrested Brandy Perry on Saturday for the death Friday of Onlabee Blaine. Police initially reported the infant's name as Blane Onlabee.
Formal charges have not been filed. Perry is being held without bond. Jail records did not indicate whether she has yet hired an attorney.
An affidavit filed in the case Monday says Perry admitted she shoved on the boy's stomach because he was squirming during a diaper change. Police say the state medical examiner's office ruled that the child died of severe internal injuries.
