Okla. mother charged with murder testifies
NORMAN, Okla. (AP) - A Noble woman charged with first-degree murder in the death of her 6-month-old daughter says she accepted her husband's explanations for bruises on the child.
Twenty-five-year-old Heather Trask testified Wednesday during her trial in Cleveland County District Court. She's accused of allowing her husband - Jonathan Trask - to abuse their daughter.
Mackenzie Trask died April 6, 2006, of a head injury.
Heather Trask testified she saw bruises on the girl's face in the days before her death and her husband said their toddler son may have caused them. Trask denied knowing that her husband abused the girl.
Jonathan Trask was convicted of first-degree murder in the girl's death and is serving life in prison.
