BROKEN ARROW, Okla. (AP) - Broken Arrow police are asking for the public's help in their investigation of a hit-and-run collision that killed a Coweta man.
Kevin Porter was riding his motorcycle east on Oklahoma 51 when he collided with another vehicle near the parking lot of King's Palace Steakhouse. Maj. Carole Newell said Tuesday the impact threw Porter into the oncoming lanes, where he was run over by a second vehicle and dragged.
Police say the 51-year-old wasn't wearing a helmet and was pronounced dead about 1:10 a.m. Saturday. Officers say traffic in the area was heavier than ususal because of a rodeo. One of the vehicles might be white and have black paint scuffs where it hit the motorcycle.
