OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The son of an Oklahoma City woman arrested
in the death of a boy she was babysitting says his mother is being
framed by the dead child's mother.
Police arrested 63-year-old Millie Jean Ware on Thursday on a
homicide complaint in the death of 4-month-old Malachi Brooks. Ware
has not been charged.
An autopsy report says the May 2 death of the boy was due to
blunt force trauma to the head.
Shawn Ware says his mother was framed by the boy's mother,
Cherri Brooks. He says the child had been beaten in the past by
Brooks and her boyfriend and that something was wrong with the
child when he was left with Millie Ware.
Brooks denies Ware's allegations and says she believes Millie
Ware is guilty.
