AAA Oklahoma reports 14-cent gas price jump

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - AAA Oklahoma says the average price of gasoline in Oklahoma jumped 14 cents in the last week.

The automobile club reported Tuesday that the average price of self-serve regular gasoline in Oklahoma was $3.18 per gallon, compared to $3.04 per gallon last week. AAA Oklahoma reports retail prices in the central United States have risen the most dramatically as a result of an increase in the costs of products used by refiners that supply the region.

Nationally, AAA reported the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded was $3.36, only 5 cents more expensive than last week.

The club reported 10 states on Tuesday with gasoline cheaper than Oklahoma: Wyoming, Colorado, Montana, Utah, New Mexico, Idaho, Missouri, Nevada, Arizona and Tennessee. Wyoming had the lowest price at $2.85.
