ADA, OK -- Ada veterans were shown appreciation at the annual Veteran's Day breakfast at the American Legion Post 72.
Veterans began showing up at 6 a.m. Monday, and were served breakfast all morning until Noon.
Officials say they served close to 100 people.
Breakfast was free for veterans and a small donation was taken for non-veterans.
One veteran says it's a small way of showing appreciation to all those who fought to protect our country.
"We need to let them know that their sacrificed is honored and we need to let everyone from the future know that they need to be respected and honored for their service," said Veteran, Rich Centers.
Many volunteers from East Central University and Byng High School also came out to help serve breakfast.
