OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Chickasaw Nation's ambassador-at-large to the U.S. has received recognition by the Putnam City Public Schools Foundation for his years of service to others.

Neal McCaleb received the honors recently at the National Cowboy and Western Heritage Museum, becoming the 11th honoree of the foundation's Wall of Fame.

Chickasaw Nation Gov. Bill Anoatubby and former Oklahoma governors Brad Henry and Frank Keating were among the hundreds of people who attended the ceremony.

McCaleb served three presidents - Richard Nixon, Ronald Reagan and George W. Bush. He served several years in the Legislature as minority floor leader in the Oklahoma House of Representatives and served as assistant secretary of the federal Interior for Indian Affairs.

He was appointed ambassador of the tribe last year.
