TEXARKANA, Ark. (AP) - Friends say an Oklahoma man who drowned in the Little River near Idabel died as he was trying to rescue his two sons.

Authorities recovered the body of 32-year-old Steven Lycklama on Sunday. The body of his 8-year-old son, Devin, was found Monday. His 4-year-old son, Dalton, was presumed drowned, but authorities are still searching for the younger boy's body.

The family was from Valliant, Okla.

A family friend tells the Texarkana Gazette (http://is.gd/N5JMt0) that Lycklama had the boat in reverse and was trying to avoid waterfalls and a drop in the river. Everette Chad Hurley says Lycklama was trying to rescue the boys and got tangled in a rope that was attached to the boat.

The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the children were not wearing lifejackets.
