BETHANY, OK. (AP) - The state medical examiner says a 19-year-old woman whose dismembered body was found inside a duffel bag died a "violent death" but offered no further details.
Spokeswoman Amy Elliott says an autopsy report on Carina Saunders will likely be completed in the next few weeks. Elliott tells The Oklahoman that the manner of death for Saunders is listed as homicide and the cause is "violent death."
An Oklahoma man has been arrested and jailed for Saunders' death but he hasn't formally been charged.
Bethany Police Chief Phil Cole says the investigation is ongoing and he expects "to bring all involved to justice."
Investigators say Saunders was killed by men allegedly involved in a human-trafficking ring.
