OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma's multicounty grand jury has cleared law enforcement officers in the shooting death of an Oklahoma City couple.
Christopher Lee Stout and Stacey Stout were shot to death in April by officers trying to serve a warrant on Christopher Stout. Authorities say at least seven officers opened fire after the couple allegedly tried to flee.
In a report issued Thursday, the grand jury found that the shooting was "lawful and justified." The grand jury says it reviewed statements from officers, physical evidence and a shooting-scene analysis in making its decision.
The couple was dating and was not related, though they shared the same last name.
Relatives of both Christopher and Stacey Stout say they're disappointed with the decision.
