TULSA, Okla. (AP) - People hiking near the Arkansas River west of Tulsa found human remains and authorities are investigating.
The Tulsa County Sheriff's Office said the discovery was made at about 1 p.m. Sunday.
The Tulsa World reports that the remains include a human skull with a hole in it.
The state Medical Examiner is to determine the nature of the hole in the skull and the age of the bones, after which, authorities may investigate further.
