OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - An Oklahoma man received no prison time after pleading guilty to two counts of first-degree manslaughter in the death of his pregnant wife.
Justin Adams entered the plea Wednesday in the death of his wife, Jaymie Adams. He received two 10-year suspended sentences and was released from custody under a plea deal reached with prosecutors.
Adams was initially charged with first-degree murder in his wife's death, but prosecutors later reduced that to manslaughter. Authorities alleged that Jaymie Adams was engaging in prostitution and that Justin Adams contributed to his wife's death by driving her to meet a client on the night she was killed.
Another man, Joseph Cyr, is now charged with murder in Jaymie Adams' death.
Justin Adams declined to comment after Wednesday's proceedings.
