OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Officials say unemployment rates increased in 76 of Oklahoma's 77 counties in May.

The Oklahoma Employment Security Commission reports that three southeastern Oklahoma counties had the highest jobless rates - LeFlore County with 8.5 percent; Latimer County, 8.2 percent, and Sequoyah County, 8 percent. In April, Latimer County's unemployment rate was 8.1 percent; LeFlore County's was 8.4 percent and Sequoyah County's was 7.7 percent.

The counties with the lowest rates in May were Dewey, Ellis and Roger Mills counties, which each had a 2.3 percent jobless rate. Beaver County had a 2.4 percent unemployment rate and Beckham and Harper counties had unemployment rates of 2.6 percent.

In April, Dewey County had a jobless rate of 2 percent; Ellis County was at 1.9 percent and Roger Mills was at 1.8 percent.
