HODGEN, Okla. (AP) - Authorities have captured an inmate who escaped last week from a minimum security prison in eastern Oklahoma.
Le Flore County deputies captured Curtis Edward Gibson on Sunday in the unincorporated Summerfield area. Fort Smith, Ark., television station KHBS reports that authorities found Gibson looking for food in a trash bin.
Deputies say Gibson was discovered missing during a headcount July 1 at the Jim Hamilton Correctional Center.
Officials say Gibson was serving time out of Oklahoma County on a conviction of failure to comply with sex offender registration.
