OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - More Oklahoma National Guard soldiers will be returning to the state following deployments to Afghanistan and Kuwait.
Officials say about 250 members of the 45th Infantry Brigade Combat Team will arrive on Wednesday and nearly 200 are scheduled to come in Thursday.
All will be welcomed back at the Army Aviation hangar at the Will Rogers Air National Guard Base near Will Rogers World Airport. Officials say more soldiers could return on Friday and Saturday.
Nearly 2,200 National Guard soldiers from the 45th were deployed in June to Afghanistan, and an additional 800 went to Kuwait.
Most of them have returned, and the last group is expected to reach Mississippi for de-mobilization processing before the end of the month.
