OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City officials say a dozen street crews will work Monday to pretreat bridges and overpasses in anticipation of a Christmas Day snowstorm.

The city says crews will apply a brining solution of salt and water to help slow the formation of ice along elevated roadways. More crews will head out at midnight to begin salting streets once the snow begins to fall.

The National Weather Service says Oklahoma City could see 3 to 6 inches of snow Tuesday.

The city says a street crew is scheduled to report at noon on Christmas to begin clearing roads.

The city has 33 trucks that can be equipped with salt spreaders and plows. Officials say the city has about 9,000 tons of salt in stock for use on the roads.
