OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Attorney General Scott Pruitt has filed two Medicaid fraud charges against the owner of medical clinics in Del City and Shawnee.
Pruitt alleges Deanna Williams sent the Oklahoma Health Care Authority almost 1,000 duplicate payment claims in 2011. Williams owns Fast Care Medical Clinics, and Pruitt says she sent duplicate claims through another company she owns.
If she is convicted, Williams could face up to six years in jail and maximum fines of more than $180,000.
The charges were filed after an investigation by the AG's Medicaid Fraud Control Unit.
