OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police are on the scene of a shooting involving a police officer on the city's northwest side.

Police Capt. Dexter Nelson says the shooting was reported shortly after noon Friday at a convenience store. He says no other details were immediately available.

Emergency Medical Services Authority spokeswoman Lara O'Leary says an ambulance was sent to the scene. She says no one was transported to a hospital and that an officer was being treated at the scene.

She did not know the nature or seriousness of the injuries.
