OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Almost 80 Oklahoma state lawmakers have signed a friend of the court brief asking the U.S. Supreme Court to overturn the Oklahoma Supreme Court's decision that said a 2011 abortion drug law was unconstitutional.

The lawmakers joined the group Americans United for Life in the brief filed Tuesday. Republican Rep. Randy Grau and GOP Sen. Greg Treat announced the filing Thursday.

The filing supports Attorney General Scott Pruitt's appeal of a December decision by the Oklahoma court to strike down a law passed by the legislature in 2011. The law restricted the off-label use of certain abortion-inducing drugs, such as RU-486.

The U.S. Supreme Court hasn't decided yet whether to hear the case.
