OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma Treasurer Ken Miller says overall collections to the state treasury are continuing to rise and set an all-time monthly record last month.

Figures released by Miller's office on Friday show gross collections in April totaled nearly $1.27 billion, topping the previous monthly record of $1.16 billion set in December 2008.

While Miller acknowledges the spike was driven largely by an increase in estimated personal and corporate tax collections, including three large corporate payments totaling $30 million, he says the numbers still are good economic news.

Income tax collections were the primary driver of the April figures, showing an increase of more than $100 million from April 2012.

April sales tax collections were up about 3 percent, while gross production and motor vehicle collections were down.
