McLOUD, Okla. (AP) - An Oklahoma prison for females had the most reports in the nation of sexual abuse and rape according to the 2012 Bureau of Justice Statistics report that says 15.3 percent of inmates surveyed reported some form of sexual ab use or rape by another inmate at the Mabel Bassett Correctional Center in McLoud.

BJS statistician Allen Beck told The Oklahoman that there is "no question" that the amount of force, pressure and coercion is significant at the prison.

Despite the report - prison officials declined to testify Wednesday at an annual hearing on the matter in Washington, D.C.

State Department of Corrections spokesman Jerry Massie said officials declined to testify because of a lawsuit by 11 women who claim they were sexually assaulted by three guards at the prison.
