Okla. City police arrest 14 in gang sweep

OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma City police say 14 men affiliated with gangs have been arrested in a sweep that targeted gang members facing felony charges.

Sergeant Gary Knight says the 14 were arrested starting at 6 a.m. Thursday. He says 13 were arrested for racketeering and one on a weapons charge.

Knight says the arrests are the result of an investigation that included Oklahoma City and Midwest City police, the Bureau of Alcohol Tobacco and Firearms, the FBI, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, the Oklahoma County Sheriff's and District Attorney's offices and the Oklahoma Department of Corrections.
