Oklahoma unveils new driver's license

OKLAHOMA CITY - Oklahoma unveiled the state's new driver's license today aimed at stopping identity fraud.

The Department of Public Safety says they changed the design so the state would reach the national standard many other states have adopted. They say that's a huge step in achieving the goal of "one person, one identity."

Oklahoma veterans can now identify themselves right on their license by choosing to have a special veteran's insignia added to their card.

DPS says they'll start pilot testing the new license next week. They hope to complete deployment of the new system in three to four months.
