Oklahoma, Texas begin baseball series Friday

NORMAN, OK.. (AP) - The baseball version of the Red River Rivalry will get under way this weekend in Norman.

Oklahoma will play host to Texas for a three-game Big 12 Conference series beginning on Friday.

The Longhorns lead the series between the two teams 124-42-2 overall and 33-12 in Big 12 play.

Oklahoma is coming off a 7-6 loss to Dallas Baptist in Texas over the weekend. The Sooners had a 6-3 advantage through the eighth inning but gave up four runs in the ninth.

Texas improved to 7-8 after beating Texas State 6-1 on Tuesday.

The games start at 6:30 p.m. Friday, 2 p.m. Saturday and at 1 p.m. on Sunday.
