PONCA CITY, Okla. (AP) - Ponca City police are investigating the death of a 4-year-old boy who may have drowned in a bathtub.

Officers received an emergency call around 6:10 p.m. Monday of a child who had reportedly drowned at a residence. Police spokeswoman Sherry Bowers says Hayden Wierz was taken to a Ponca City hospital where he was pronounced dead.

The Oklahoma Medical Examiner's office will perform an autopsy to determine the cause of Hayden's death.
