Police seeking person who fired at Okla. deputy

MOORE, Okla. (AP) - Authorities in Cleveland County are investigating after someone fired a gun at a patrol car driven by a sheriff's deputy.

The sheriff's office says the deputy was on routine patrol Wednesday night in Moore when he was fired upon. The deputy was not hurt.

Detectives are looking for anyone who was in the area of Northeast Seventh Street and Bryant Avenue in Moore shortly before 8 p.m. Wednesday. Detectives are also looking for anyone who may have heard gunfire instead of fireworks in the area.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Cleveland County sheriff's office.
