PONTOTOC COUNTY, OK -- The Pontotoc County Drug Free Coalition has received a $625,000 grant to help prevent substance abuse.
The Office of National Drug Control Policy awarded the grant to nearly 150 communities nationwide.

They plan to implement programs and leadership retreats to help kids understand the importance of being drug free.
They will also hire a full-time grant coordinator to help with prevention strategies.
