OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - A Republican state representative from Norman who narrowly won his seat on the city's east side may not want to break out the champagne just yet.

Unofficial election results show incumbent Rep. Aaron Stiles won the House District 45 seat by just 18 votes over Democratic challenger Paula Roberts.

But election officials say there were at least 69 provisional ballots that were cast in that race by voters who either did not have proper identification or had some other conflict with their voter registration.

Cleveland County Election Board Secretary Jim Williams says there could be a handful of more provisional ballots in that race from early voters.

Williams says the provisional ballots currently are being researched and will be officially tabulated on Friday.
