OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The Oklahoma State Department of Health is seeking public comment before May 5 regarding a federal grant that provides health services to mothers and children.
The input is needed for the state plan for Services for the Maternal and Child Health Services grant. The grant provides federal funds for the Oklahoma MCH program with a primary goal of improving the health of pregnant women, mothers, infants, and children - including children with special health care needs.
Funds from the block grant are to assure that the groups - particularly those with low income or with limited availability of services - have access to quality maternal and child health care services.
