WASHINGTON (AP) - The biggest prize on the busiest night of the Republican presidential campaign goes to Mitt Romney.

The former Massachusetts governor won a close race in Ohio over Rick Santorum. Romney also took primaries in Virginia, Massachusetts and Vermont, along with the Idaho caucuses.

Santorum picked up primary wins in Tennessee and Oklahoma, as well as the North Dakota caucus.

Newt Gingrich won his home state of Georgia and Ron Paul is hoping for a win in the Alaska caucuses.

The results from delegate-rich Super Tuesday give Romney at least 183 of the 419 available delegates which adds up to more than all his other rivals combined.

But the results also ensure that the most turbulent GOP campaign in a generation isn't over yet.

In Ohio, Santorum outpolled Romney among Ohioans with incomes under $100,000, while Romney won among those with six-figure incomes and up.
