OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - Oklahoma's Election Board secretary says turnout has been 'steady' across the state for the presidential primary.

Paul Ziriax said Tuesday afternoon that he doesn't expect the turnout to match the 40 percent who voted in the 2008 primary when both Democrats and Republicans had competitive races.

The Republican nomination is highly competitive while President Barack Obama heads the Democratic ticket.

Ziriax said he's heard of no problems and that the only complaint he's fielded was from a voter upset that a candidate who has dropped out of the race was still on the ballot. He said the deadline for removing a candidate's name from the ballot was Dec. 9.

He also said he's heard no complaints about a new state law that requires voters to show an ID.
