CUSHING, Okla. (AP) - The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says a motorcyclist was killed when he was struck by a car trying to turn left onto a highway in Payne County.
Authorities say 41-year-old Jeremy Mezzell of Stillwater was driving on Oklahoma 33 near Cushing when he was struck by a car that tried to turn left onto Oklahoma 108.
The highway patrol says Mezzell was thrown about 25 feet from his motorcycle after the collision.
Authorities say the driver of the car wasn't injured in the crash.
The highway patrol says Mezzell was pronounced dead at the scene from head and internal injuries.
