TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Officials have closed a highway ramp in downtown Tulsa after the crash of a tanker carrying crude oil.
The Oklahoma Highway Patrol says the eastbound Interstate 244 exit ramp to the northbound L.L. Tisdale Expressway was closed Thursday morning because of the crash.
The Oklahoma Department of Transportation expects the ramp to be closed through mid-afternoon.
Authorities tell Tulsa television station KOTV that the tanker was carrying 8,000 gallons of crude oil when it rolled over. Firefighters were able to contain the crude oil but authorities say it will take time to clean up the mess.
No injuries were reported.
