TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Five more patients of a Tulsa oral surgeon whose clinics were deemed unsanitary have tested positive for hepatitis C and B, but health officials say it would be highly unusual for them to have contracted the illnesses at his clinics.

Tulsa's Health Department reported Thursday four more patients of Dr. W. Scott Harrington tested positive for hepatitis C, bringing the total to 69 since testing began. One more patient tested positive for hepatitis B, bringing that total to four.

More than 3,700 patients have been tested since March at clinics statewide.

An assistant to Harrington's attorney said this week he wouldn't be making any more comments on the case.

The attorney said previously that Harrington was cooperating with investigators and that his record with the state dental board was "impeccable."
