TULSA, Okla. (AP) - A 16-month-old girl has died after falling out of a car on a Tulsa freeway and being struck by a vehicle.
Tulsa police officer Jill Roberson tells the Tulsa World that officers were dispatched to the 1500 block of North Tisdale Parkway about 6 p.m. to investigate an auto-pedestrian collision involving a child. Police say the child was not properly secured in a child seat and fell out when the passenger door opened. She was hit by another vehicle and pronounced dead at OSU Medical Center.
KJRH reports that two other children, ages 4 and 5, were also in the vehicle.
The name of the child has not been released, and the accident remains under investigation.
