LAWTON, Okla. (AP) - The trial for an Oklahoma man charged in a double killing in Comanche County in 2009 has been delayed until next week.
Mica Martinez was set to go on trial Tuesday, but Lawton television station KSWO reports that the proceedings have been pushed back until next week.
Martinez is charged with two counts of first-degree murder for the October 2009 beating deaths of Carl and Martha Miller during a home invasion.
Martinez has pleaded not guilty and a judge has found him mentally competent to stand trial. Prosecutors are seeking the death penalty.
He is also charged with assault and battery for allegedly attacking the couple's son, who survived.
