OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) - The wife of a slain Oklahoma City-area fire chief is scheduled to go to trial on a first-degree murder charge.

Nichols Hill Fire Chief Keith Bryan was found dead at his Mustang home in 2011. His wife, Rebecca Louisa Bryan, said an intruder entered their home and killed her husband, but police say they found a gun in a clothes dryer at their home and charged Rebecca Bryan with first-degree murder. A shell casing and bullet also matched an ammo box found in the couple's bedroom.

The trial starts Monday in Oklahoma City.

Rebecca Bryan has pleaded not guilty.

According to prosecutors, Rebecca Bryan had left a voicemail on an ex-lover's answering machine hours before the fire chief's death and said she would be inheriting a significant amount of money.
