Truck driver injured when winds blow semi off road

OKLAHOMA CITY,OK. (AP) - The National Weather Service says a driver was injured when his semi-truck was blown out of its lane and into the center median near Bartlesville.

No other injuries or major damages have been reported from the severe weather that swept through northern Oklahoma early Wednesday.

The truck driver was taken to a hospital but his condition wasn't available Wednesday morning.

The weather service says a house sustained minor damage and trailers flipped over near Cherokee in northern Oklahoma, while wind gusts of up to 80 mph and quarter-sized hail were reported in Kay County along the Kansas border.

In southwest Missouri, one person died and dozens were injured when the storm struck.

Branson's popular downtown district was also hit, damaging the city's famous theaters.
