Tulsa boy hit by car when walking to school
TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa police say a 7-year-old boy is dead after he was struck by a car while walking to school.
Police say Elijah Rivers stepped off a curb and into traffic when walking along Harvard Avenue on Wednesday morning. Police say Elijah was walking to school with his 12-year-old sister when he was struck.
Authorities say the boy was taken to a hospital where he was later pronounced dead.
Tulsa police say the collision happened shortly before 7 a.m. when it was still dark outside.
