TULSA, Okla. (AP) - The Tulsa Police Department is teaming with state and federal officials to raise awareness about World Elder Abuse Awareness Day next week.
Monday's event is downtown at the Cox Business Center.
Speakers from the U.S. and Oklahoma attorneys general offices, the U.S. Postal Service, the Oklahoma Healthy Aging Initiative and other agencies plan to attend in the free event.
Tulsa Det. Debbie Crisp says the department wants people to know that victimizing the elderly won't be tolerated.
