EDMOND, Okla. (AP) - A voter registration drive and a question-and-answer session with a candidate for state House will be among the activities planned as the University of Central Oklahoma recognizes Constitution Week next week.
The events run Sept. 16-20. They are part of the university's American Democracy Project. The initiative focuses on higher education's role in preparing citizens for democracy.
Oklahoma House of Representatives District 85 candidate Cyndi Munson will lead a question-and-answer session at 2 p.m. Sept. 17 at the Pegasus Theater in the Liberal Arts Building. The discussion will focus on Munson's community involvement and decision to run for state office.
A voter registration drive is also planned.
