TULSA, Okla. (AP) - Tulsa voters are to decide whether they want a new mayor or are satisfied with the one they have.

Incumbent Mayor Dewey Bartlett is facing challenges from former mayor Kathy Taylor and former city councilman Bill Christiansen. Also on Tuesday's ballot are Lawrence Kirkpatrick and Jerry DeWayne Branch.

Perhaps the stiffest competition Bartlett will face will be from Taylor.

Since leaving office in early 2010 - citing a disdain for party politics and personal agendas - Taylor has completed a fellowship at Harvard University, practiced law and served as an education adviser to former Gov. Brad Henry.

If one of the five candidates receives more than 50 percent of the vote then that candidate becomes mayor in December. A runoff, if needed, would be held in November.
