PARIS, TX -- The Salvation Army started signups today for its annual Angel Tree Christmas gift program.
Every year the program helps bring gifts to children in need for the holiday season. This year Toys for Tots is teaming up with Salvation Army and anyone who signed up for Toys for Tots last year will have to sign up this year at the Salvation Army.
Salvation Army Lieutenant, Nicholas Hutchinson, says it's a chance to help support your community by providing gifts for families in need.
"On each Angel Tree card we have a gift want and a gift need," said Hutchinson. "Now a want might be a spider-man toy or a baby doll, but a need could be something like sheets for a bed, boots or a winter coat."
If you know a family in need or would like to donate signups are this week at the Salvation Army from 9am to 1pm.
