PARIS, TX -- Wednesday kicked off the first of five walks Paris CASA for Kids is having the month of April.
Every Wednesday this month CASA for Kids will be walking around the Culbertson Fountain in downtown Paris, spreading the word to prevent child abuse in our community.
CASA volunteers are appointed by judges to watch over and be advocates for abused and neglected children.
"We are just trying to make people aware in Paris, Texas that there is child abuse out there and that there is a way that they can help these children," said CASA for Kids Executive Director Sharon Eubanks.
CASA for Kids will be holding different events throughout the month of April for Child Abuse Prevention Month. If you'd like to walk, volunteers meet every Wednesday from noon to one in downtown Paris.
